THE COMPRESSED AIR HOSE: AN ESSENTIAL IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY AND PUBLIC WORKS
Compressed air is used in many fields of activity: industry, construction, automobile… But still it is necessary to have the good hose to convey it. Discover the different compressed air hoses developed by Würth and choose the model that best suits your requirements.
COMPRESSED AIR IS USED TO OPERATE MACHINES, TO PAINT OR TO LUBRICATE
The compressed air hose can be used in many ways, depending on the machine or tool to which it is connected: drill, chisel hammer, airbrush (paint spray gun). You can use the compressed air supplied in your hose to distribute:
• water
• oil
• petrol
• paint
• coolant, etc.
COMPOSITION, STRENGTH AND DURABILITY OF OUR COMPRESSED AIR HOSES
A poorly chosen or improperly used compressed air hose can not only waste your time, but also represent a risk for your safety or that of your employees. Before you purchase, try to determine the most appropriate hose for its intended purpose. Our different models for professionals differ mainly on three points:
• their composition, the most common materials being PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and PU (polyurethane). PU is considered to be more flexible and more resistant than ordinary PVC. EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) is also commonly used, in particular for its antistatic properties
• their resistance to low and high temperatures
• their durability in general, namely their resistance to oils and to gasoline, or the possibility or not of using the hose in a humid environment
TIPS, NOZZLES, VALVES… FIND THE RIGHT FITTINGS AND ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR HOSES
After identifying the compressed air hose that suits you best, it's time to get the right fittings. Plug-in end, threaded nozzle, T-piece? The choice is yours! Also take a look at our pressure reducers and our shut-off valves, to be able to better modulate your compressed air supply. Finally, note that we also design and distribute sprayers (intended for activities involving water and oil).
