Versatile elastic PU adhesive and sealant for marine applications

Broad adhesive range

Very good adhesion to a broad range of materials

Flexible

  • High elasticity compensates for different degrees of material stretching

  • Vibration-damping and noise-damping

Slow skin formation time

  • Permits the bonding and/or sealing of large components

  • Mating parts can be repositioned

Can be sanded and painted over

  • Mechanical finishing possible after skin formation

  • The sealant can be painted over to a degree

VOC-free and virtually odourless

High UV resistance, ageing resistance and weather resistance

Notice

Do not allow this product to come into contact with alkyd-resin paint systems. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, silicone rubber, polystyrene and softened plastics. When painting over the sealant, it must be taken into account that the thickness and hardness of the paint film may impair the adhesive's elasticity and thereby cause cracks.

Not suitable for deck caulking (sealing wooden planks on ship decks).

  • The surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. The best adhesive results are achieved by pretreatment with our adhesion agent/primer and surface cleaner.

  • Smoothing must be done during the adhesive's skin-formation time.

  • Material that has not cured can be removed using adhesive remover. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

  • Multi PU Marine adhesive sealant can be painted over once the skin has formed, although preliminary tests should first be performed to verify paint compatibility.
